(October 14, 2022)  MINI USA has announced updates to production in November that will bring a number of new options and features to the Mini Special Edition lineup and mark the return of equipment options, including manual transmissions, along with a simplified trim offering to the MINI lineup.
 
The Mini Resolute, Untold and Untamed Special Editions launched in March 2022, get enhancements that include new body colors, interior upholsteries, and engine variants available across these Special Editions. These three Special Editions are available on the respective models equipped with the Iconic Trim 2.0.

Excellent news for performance enthusiasts who enjoy the fun of shifting their own gears, the MiniHardtop 2 door range will see the return of the manual transmission as a standalone option starting with November production allowing MINI owners in the U.S. to once again, purchase a Mini Hardtop with a six-speed manual transmission. The reintroduction of the manual transmission is offered on the Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works variants of the Mini Hardtop 2 Door.

 The Mini Resolute Edition, currently offered with Rebel Green body color with a Pepper White Roof and Cloth/Leatherette Black Pearl Light Checkered seats with Carbon Black Knee Rolls will now also be available with Enigmatic Black metallic body color with the same Pepper White roof on all models, or Nanuq White on the Hardtop variants with Body Color roof. Additionally, the MINI Yours Lounge Leather Carbon Black is available for $750 as an alternative upholstery.
 
Since July production, the Untold Edition has been available exclusively as a Mini John Cooper Works Clubman. However, after a temporary pause in availability, Mini welcomes come back the Cooper S and Cooper S All4 variants to the Untold Edition range starting in November production. The MiniUntold Edition will also pick up Midnight Black metallic with black spats as an alternative versus the original Sage Green metallic with Sage Green Dark spats. As before, the MINI Yours Lounge Leather in Carbon Black or Sage Green are available upholsteries.
 
The always capable Untamed Edition, which is currently available as a Mini Cooper S Countryman ALL4 with Momentum Grey body, can now be ordered, finished in the new Nanuq White paint color. Both body colors will come with the black contrast roof and mirrors, along with unique Edition graphics in Matte Bluestone. The body color accents will also be found in the side skirts, bumpers, and Mini wing badges.
