Fiat 500 wins '2012 Car Wrapping Car of the Year'

(December 13, 2011) GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. — Sunrise Signs Custom Wraps and Graphics has announced that the 2012 Car Wrapping Car of the Year is the Fiat 500.

Sunrise chose this sporty compact because of all the 2012 cars on the market, "the Fiat 500 embodies all of the elements that make for a great car wrapping canvas: car design, canvas designability, cost, mileage, and that dash of je ne sais qua, the 'wow' factor."

Adam Sokoloff, president and founder of Sunrise Signs, says, "While competitors like the Scion XB and Honda Fit also came in close, Sunrise selected the Fiat 500 as a truly excellent vehicle wrap canvas."

The car is curvy and unusual enough to stand out, but not so complicated as to make for a difficult installation. The natural lines in the Fiat 500 also make it the perfect base for a show-stopping vehicle wrap design. Designers can create looks that flow along the planes of the car, while making use of the broad sides for easy-to-read copy.

According to Sunrise Signs designer Chris Alston, "The cars' compact size along with its body lines and aggressive front end appearance gave me a lot of play for an edgy - nontraditional look."

The Fiat 500 is also an excellent car-wrapping car because of its more technical elements. The base cost of the car comes between $16,000 and $24,000, making it an affordable option for businesses of any size.

In order to understand the "wow" factor of this little car, all one need do is take a look at a few wrapped examples. Sunrise Signs, a national leader in the production of vehicle wraps recently wrapped a small fleet for The Junkluggers, a New York City based company.

According to Sokoloff, "The Fiat 500 makes for a really sporty and distinctive car wrap, and the end result after many hours really hit the mark with the customer!"
