David Brown Automotive to launch Mini Remastered at London Motor Show
(April 18, 2017) LONDON — The eagerly awaited Mini Remastered is to make its public debut in the UK at The Confused.com London Motor Show May 4-7. The second model to be made by British-based coachbuilder David Brown Automotive will take pride of place at The Confused.com London Motor Show alongside the manufacturer’s debut car, the classically-inspired Speedback GT.
The highly exclusive Mini Remastered is based on a classic Mini and is reborn into a city car for modern living, making it the perfect match for London life. The car boasts a reconditioned 1,275cc 78 horsepower, 91pound-feet engine and a four-speed gearbox, while the chassis and body panels are new and de-seamed, boasting perfect shutlines.
Perfect for urbanites, the car's standard offering comes with an in-built infotainment and navigation system and has a host of modern connectivity, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker sound system, keyless-go, USB connectivity and charging, as well as push-button start and remote central locking.
Every Mini Remastered comes with a bespoke leather-lined luggage space and a gas tank painted in each car’s contrasting roof color. Mini Remastered come with an exceptional paint finish, with a full four-week paint process applied to every car to give it an equivalent flawless finish to that of the Speedback GT.
David Brown Automotive will also be exhibiting its revolutionary Speedback GT model for discerning show visitors to admire. The bespoke car boasts a 5-liter twin-scroll supercharged V8 engine, which delivers 510 bhp and a 0-6 0mph time of 4.6 seconds. The Speedback GT’s top speed is limited to 155 mph.
David Brown Automotive uses a combination of engineering, state-of-the-art technology and traditional coachbuilding manufacturing techniques to build each car from its new headquarters at Silverstone. The premium British car manufacturer is redefining modern coachbuilding, to build fully engineered, limited-edition, bespoke automobiles made from hand-formed aluminum with entirely handcrafted interiors, each specially commissioned by the customer.
