Custom Acura NSX to be auctioned in support of MusiCares Foundation

(February 10, 2017) TORRANCE, Calif. — Acura will extend its long-standing support of musicians and music people as the automaker is set to auction a custom 2017 Acura NSX supercar at the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute honoring Tom Petty. All proceeds from the auction of the Acura NSX will benefit the MusiCares charity, which provides people in the music industry with critical assistance in times of need.

The one-of-a-kind MusiCares NSX was customized exclusively for the occasion by NSX Lead Exterior Designer, Michelle Christensen. The MusiCares NSX features a Berlina Black exterior with Ebony interior and Semi-Aniline Full Leather Power Seats. The MusiCares NSX sports premium options such as the Technology Package equipped with ELS Studio Premium Audio, which includes a 9-speaker, 580 watt ELS Studioâ Premium Audio system tuned especially for the NSX by Grammy and Emmy award-winning recording engineer and music producer, Elliot Scheiner; and a Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package including carbon fiber steering wheel and meter housing.

Custom modifications include black carbon ceramic brakes with red NSX logo detail, black Signature Y-Spoke wheels with red pocket accents, red accents on the carbon fiber front spoiler, lower diffuser, and rocker panels as well as a red tinted carbon fiber engine cover.

Other details include smoke tinted taillights, custom red interior stitching on seats, floor mats and center console and NSX embossed headrests.
