Carfax, National Kidney Foundation partner on car donations

(December 5, 2012) NEW YORK — Carfax has extended its support of the National Kidney Foundation by promoting the donation of used cars. For vehicles donated to the Kidney Cars program, Carfax makes the donation part of the vehicle's history by adding a record to the Carfax Vehicle History Report.

Nearly 9 in 10 seniors drive a car that doesn't fit their aging needs

(December 3, 2012) WASHINGTON — With nearly 90 percent of motorists 65 and older suffering from health issues that affect driving safety, finding a car that not only adapts to conditions, such as lack of flexibility or muscle strength, while maintaining safety and comfort can be difficult. 

Data from a new AAA survey also reveals that only one in 10 senior drivers with aging health issues are driving a vehicle that has features like keyless entry and larger dashboard controls that can assist with such conditions.

Kelley: New-car shoppers return to market In November

(December 2, 2012) IRVINE, Calif. — New-car sales are expected to hit 14.7 million seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) in November, slightly outpacing the 14.3 million unit pace achieved last month when Superstorm Sandy swept the East Coast, according to Kelley Blue Book, kbb.com. 

Although sales remained somewhat suppressed in storm-devastated parts of the northeast immediately following the storm, it looks as though the worst may be behind us.

AAA: E15 gas may damage vehicles; consumer confusion seen
