(June 14, 2011) SANTA MONICA, Calif. (PRNewswire) TrueCar.com reports today that there are discounts available on certain Japanese vehicles and it may not be necessary to wait on a new-car purchase to get a decent deal.

Due to the March earthquake in Japan, consumers have been holding back on the purchase of new cars manufactured by Japanese automakers because of the impact declining supply may have on pricing and incentives, TrueCar reports.

TrueCar.com reviewed its latest list of deals, available nationwide, reflecting the possible discount from the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and include manufacturer's rebates and other incentives and found that deals are available for Japanese vehicles, including Toyota and Honda vehicles.

"The perception is that consumers should be in a holding pattern if they are looking to buy Japanese vehicles because of supply constraints and higher prices but an abundant amount of vehicles are available and being discounted," said Jesse Toprak, VP of Industry Trends and Insights for TrueCar.com. 

"If you're looking to purchase a vehicle, consumers should walk into the dealership having done their research knowing the best price available to them in their area."
