New American Honda Collection Hall showcases Honda history in the U.S.

The hall offers visitors a glimpse of more than 60 historic and significant Honda and Acura automobiles, motorcycles, power equipment, race machines, engines and concept models, plus images, graphics and video presentations.

Held during Monterey Car Week, Mecum Monterey 2023 saw impressive individual sales, with the auction’s top sellers led by a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C Alloy Berlinettathat sold for $3.41 million and six of the top 10 breaking the $1 million mark.

The sporty luxury car prevailed over a top-class field of exclusive classic cars in the jury vote at the final event of Pebble Beach Automotive Week. This victory is the 10th "Best of Show" title for a Mercedes-Benz vehicle since the start of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 1950.

And while the election of Dwight Eisenhower put World War II fully behind us, the Cold War was heating up. With that, a handful of execs at General Motors believed the company should be building a sports car, and while the all-new Corvette was not yet America’s Sports Car, the basics were there, and at least one engineer, Zora Arkus-Duntov, recognized its potential.
