Record 27,000 automotive enthusiasts
celebrated car culture over four days  

(March 6, 2024) AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. — A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was crowned Best in Show, Concours de Sport while a 1947 Delahaye 135MS Narval Cariolet took home Best in Show, Concours d’Elegance at the 29th annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The Sunday Concours concluded a week long celebration of the automobile which included auction, seminars, film viewings and several automotive events. In total, over 27,000 automotive enthusiasts visited The Amelia between Feb. 29 and March 3.

(February 29, 2024) LOS ANGELES — The Petersen Automotive Museum will celebrate “Dream Cars” from the 1950s with its newest exhibit, “GM's Marvelous Motorama: Dream Cars From the Joe Bortz Collection,” which will open on March 16. The exhibit will feature six concept cars, together for the first time under one roof, originally displayed at GM Motorama shows in 1953, ‘54 and ‘55.

The renowned event will include exclusive unveilings from the biggest automotive brands, over 200 vintage and modern vehicles on display and lavish cuisine and events in a garden-party like setting.

To understand the Bugatti Type 35, one must first understand its creator, Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti. Without the one, there could have never been the other.

(February 14, 2024) WALWORTH, Wis. — Mecum Auctions will return to State Farm Stadium March 5-9 for its sixth annual auction in Glendale with an estimated 2,000 classic and collector vehicles and approximately 200 pieces of Road Art and memorabilia items to be offered.

(February 10, 2024) The Petroliana Museum at the AAA Lakeside Storage, 4095 West Center St., in Provo, Utah, has offered visitors a walk through automotive history since 1983. Items such as antique porcelain signs, an antique gas station, and close to 100 antique gas pumps from 1917 to the the late 50s are available for viewing.

(February 7, 2024) My dad was born on 80 acres outside of Bennet, Neb, in 1922, while my mom joined four older siblings near Ohiowa, Neb., in 1930. Both were as far removed from Paris, the Bugatti headquarters at Molsheim or Le Mans as was possible in that part of the 20th century. In the early ‘20s my dad’s family had a Model T and tractor, while in the ‘30s my mom’s folks had enough car to get their family to Idaho — and then back to Lincoln in that same Depression-riddled decade.

(February 1, 2024) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. —  Barrett-Jackson supercharged its kickoff to the 2024 auction calendar with their flagship Scottsdale Auction, Jan. 20-28 at WestWorld of Scottsdale in dynamic fashion. The event featured its largest auction docket in company history with 2,016 collectible vehicles, all selling with No Reserve, for $200.9 million in auction sales. Additionally, Barrett-Jackson sold 1,180 pieces of authentic automobilia for $6.7 million, bringing total auction sales to $207.6 million, the most for a single auction in Barrett-Jackson history.
