(July 24, 2018) Since Dodge reintroduced the Challenger for the 2008 model year, both the Mustang and Camaro muscle cars have undergone complete refreshes. Further, Camaro is expecting another update for 2019. By contrast, the Challenger has basically remained unchanged for the past 11 years, except for one minor mid-cycle refresh back in 2015. Still, sales keep climbing and thus far in 2018, it is outselling the three-year-old Camaro.

(July 23, 2018) There’s no denying that the U.S. car-buying community is crossover-crazy, shunning traditional family sedans for a piece of the upscale driving action you get with the likes the popular Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Jaguar F-Pace and numerous others including the Infiniti QX50, the long awaited replacement for the EX and QX50 predecessors after a one-year hiatus.

(July 7, 2018) At a time when family-sedan sales are taking a long and extend sales dive — as consumers seemingly can’t satisfy their appetite for utility vehicles — Ford Motor Company has decided to wave the white flag, announcing this past April that it will discontinue all sedans in North America. That includes the Fusion, tested here.

(July 2, 2018) Fresh off a complete new redesign last year, the fifth-generation model sports a new look, a new name and features a slew of technological advancements, including lightweight body construction, making Discovery about 20 percent lighter than the outgoing LR4.

Gone is the boxy look in favor of a more rounded aerodynamic flowing design. But a few historical lineage cues remain, like the offset rear license plate and the signature, stepped roof that’s now dwindled to a mere ripple.

(June 23, 2018) At dealer showrooms now, the 2019 Ram 1500 half-ton pickup has been completely redesigned and is nothing short of spectacular.

A few months ago, we drove the new Ram at its media launch in Scottsdale, Ariz. While we were only able to get driver’s seat time for a few hours at that event, I recently spent an entire week driving the 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport Crew cab 4X4 for a more comprehensive review.

(June 16, 2018) Last year, Audi updated its fifth-generation A4 sedan. Audi didn’t do anything radical, with the basic dimensions staying the same, but Audi aficionados certainly recognized some significant changes. So, understandably, for 2018 the A4 is almost exclusively a carryover from last year, and a much stronger performance-oriented S4 has joined the lineup.

Does the new Lexus ES have enough magic to woo younger buyer?

By Jim Prueter

(June 11, 2018) When the Lexus brand first launched in the U.S 28 years ago, it did so with just two sedans: the LS and the smaller ES. Over the years, Lexus, of course, added numerous vehicles to its portfolio — SUVs, sportier models and more coupes and sedans. With 2.18 million worldwide sales — one million in the U.S. alone — it is the most popular Lexus ever.

Newly refreshed Cherokee Trailhawk: Getting over the rough stuff

(June 6, 2018) Earlier this year we drove and reviewed the updated 2019 Jeep Cherokee when members of the automotive media were invited to California for its “first drive” introduction. Jeep provided both the Latitude and Overland trim levels and a very limited amount of time in the Trailhawk model for test-driving. Jeep engineers promised I’d get more time behind the wheel of the Trailhawk Elite in the coming months and that time came a week ago when I fully tested the “Trail Rated” Elite.

(June 2, 2018) For 2018, Honda has introduced an all-new 10th-generation Accord, a nameplate that has long been one of the most recognized and best-selling vehicles in the U.S marketplace. The new Accord was quickly bestowed with numerous “best-of” awards, including North American Car of the Year at the Detroit International Auto Show in January.

All new Hyundai Veloster stays quirky and fun to drive

AUSTIN, Texas — I first heard about the Veloster back in 2012 when Hyundai initially launched the quirky little hatchback, and the name reminded me of a carnival ride. “Weird name for a car,” I thought. Fast forward to May 2018, when Hyundai fittingly introduced the second generation 2019 Veloster to the media in Austin, a city that takes immense pride in proclaiming itself the weirdest city in the country (although Portland, Ore., takes exception to that claim).
