(April 6, 2022) After skipping the 2021 model year Honda has brought back an 11th generation 2022 Civic Si to go along with the complete redo for the entire Civic lineup. All the things we liked about the new Civic introduced earlier this year are carried over to the Si. It isn’t the most eye-catching sedan on the market or even in its class, but handsome just the same especially with my test Si adorned in Blazing Pearl Orange metallic paint with black and red interior.

Sitting somewhere between a crossover, a wagon and a sportback sedan, it makes a more than favorable impression. Stunning would not be an exaggeration. The EV6 is sized similarly to the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

(March 17, 2022) Hyundai first joined the electric car offering since 2019 sharing everything we love about the non-electric funky, practicable subcompact SUV we first tested back when introduced for the 2018 model year. Based on the standard gasoline version the electric Kona is instead powered by a 201-horsepower electric motor delivered via the 64-kWh lithium-ion battery pack with liquid cooling with an EPA-rated driving range of 258 miles.

(March 9, 2022) It’s been two model years since we last drove and tested Mercedes compact luxury SUV when it was first introduced for the 2020 model year. The 2022 GLB tested here is nearly identical to the 2020 and 2021 model since its debut adding standard blind spot monitoring for 2021 and both SiriusXM satellite radio and a 115-volt power outlet added to the optional Premium package for 2022.

(March 1, 2022) The BMW 2-series is the German automakers entry-level-two-door with the 2022 model year introducing an all-new generation for the model. For 2022 the 2 Series is offered in two completely different cars — the front-wheel drive Gran Coupe, a four-door sedan, the other a rear-wheel drive two-door coupe with all-wheel drive optional tested here.

(February 22, 2022) It’s early morning and I’m on the Apache Trail, a two-lane blacktop highway in central Arizona. The Trail opens up with a rare straightaway for the passing zone. Just ahead of me, a wide, smooth hairpin curve comes into view as I negotiate one of the countless hills and dips that open into a seemingly endless serving of S curves carved into the side of cactus-forested mountains and chiseled desert canyons.

For the first time in memory, Outlander finally has some attractive styling and elements of substance, along with an extremely good looking interior and intuitive tech features to finally attract attention in the highly competitive compact crossover segment.
