(November 7, 2021) Much like the Ford Bronco and GM’s Hummer, Jeep has resurrected an old nameplate, Grand Wagoneer. One might be surprised it’s a Jeep save since the raised aluminum two-piece copperchinio-accented “Wagoneer” is the only badging you’ll see on the humungous all-new SUV; the name “Jeep” appears nowhere on the vehicle.

(November 5, 2021) When it comes to hard core off-road capability, the Ford Ranger sat in the parking lot watching competitors like Chevy Colorado ZR2, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and Jeep Gladiator (in Rubicon or Moab trim levels) hit the rough stuff: steep boulder-strewn trails, deep sand, and streams. Ranger’s FX4 off-road trim did add a rear differential locker and skid plates, but it was no match for and couldn’t go places the Jeep or Tacoma tackled.

(October 21, 2021) Almost 90 percent of U.S. Buick sales come from SUVs, and the newest addition is the Encore GX first introduced for Buick for 2020. The Encore GX is not to be confused as yet another trim level for the subcompact Buick Encore. It’s its own Buick model that’s larger and positioned just below Buick’s compact Envision. It’s essentially a tarted-up version of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, which is also new for the bowtie division of GM, and mechanically shares much of the same DNA including its two available engines, both of which are turbocharged three-cylinder variants.

(October 7, 2021) Last year we reviewed the 2020 Toyota Supra that returned 21 years after its last appearance. That Supra was powered by a 335-horsepower twin-scroll turbocharged inline six-cylinder paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and with standard launch control reached 60 mph from a resting stop in just 4.1 seconds with thanks in part to the 365 lb.-ft of torque. That’s made it the quickest production Toyota ever."

(September 28, 2021) Earlier this year we tested and reviewed the 2021 Mazda3 2.5 Turbo sedan and came away with a mixed, but mostly favorable sense of the vehicle. This time around, Mazda sent us an all-wheel drive turbo hatchback for testing; it’s essentially the same vehicle with a different exterior configuration — a rear lift hatch rather than a trunk lid.
