(June 20, 2024) Volvo will end U.S. production of the S60 compact sedan — the brand's entry model — at the end of the month. The S60 was Volvo's first and until recently only U.S.-manufactured vehicle. S60 output began at the $1.1 billion factory near Charleston, S.C., in 2018, according to Automotive News.

The automaker is recalling 1,033,433 of the vehicles in the U.S. and another 126,530 in Canada, according to Automotive News.
