Tesla issues two recalls of the 2024 Cybertruck



(May 26, 2024) Tesla has issued two recalls of its 2024 Cybertruck because of defects in the front windshield wiper and the trunk body trim. The front windshield motor may stop functioning in 11,688 affected vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash, NHTSA said in a recall report June 25. Valeo Sistemas Electricos is the parts supplier, according to the report. Tesla will replace the windshield wiper motor.

2024 Ford Shelby F-150 boasts 785 supercharged horsepower



(June 26, 2024) LAS VEGAS — Shelby American is continuing to build on its legacy of performance vehicles with the new 2024 Ford Shelby F-150 super truck. Limited to only 800 trucks for the 2024 model year, production of the wicked fast pickup has started and will be available for purchase beginning this summer. Based on Ford’s Lariat trim F-150 4x4 SuperCrew, the lifted Shelby truck starts at $130,000 with an optional supercharged version starting at $139,995 that boasts 785 horsepower.

GM Defense provides battery electric technology for future military platforms

BMW first carmaker OK'd for Level 2 and Level 3 autonomous driving

Toyota Texas to expand, add more than 400 new jobs

The new on-site 500,000-square-foot facility will be dedicated to drivetrain parts production, further affirming Toyota’s commitment to reinvesting profits in its U.S. operations.

BMW opens first press shop in North America



(June 24, 2024) SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Celebrating its 30th anniversary of assembling BMWs for the world, BMW Manufacturing has opened its state-of-the-art press shop as it prepares to assemble the new BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle at the Spartanburg plant. The press shop will stamp sheet metal parts for the new BMW X3. These components include hang-on parts such as the vehicle’s four doors, fenders, lift gate, and exterior body sides.
