(July 1, 2023) WALWORTH, Wis. — Mecum Auctions recently added The World’s Largest Road Art Auction to its impressive list of annual events. The automotive memorabilia-focused auction was held June 20-25 at Mecum’s company headquarters in Walworth and featured nearly 4,000 lots of neon, tin and wooden signs, gas pumps and globes, pedal cars, posters and more on offer.

(June 30, 2023) TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The Hagerty Drivers Foundation has debuted documentary on the history of the Chrysler Turbine Car.  The film "The Chrysler Turbine Car: Engineering a Revolution" traces Chrysler’s groundbreaking efforts beginning in the 1950s to disrupt the automotive industry with its multimillion-dollar turbine research program.

Jerry Seinfeld takes possession of one-off 911 Classic Club Coupe



(June 30, 2023) PALM SPRINGS, CALIF. —  The 911 Classic Club Coupe, sold during the Broad Arrow auction celebrating 75 years of Porsche sports cars at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, has been delivered to its new owner. Comedian and collector Jerry Seinfeld personally took possession of the one-off creation based on a 911 Carrera (996 generation) during the annual Porsche Parade being held by the club in Palm Springs.

Electrify America to add Tesla-style NACS connector by 2025



(June 30, 2023) Electrify America has announced it will add the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector to Electrify America and Electrify Canada’s fast charging networks as part of the company’s commitment to broaden charging solutions for electric vehicle (EV) drivers today and in the future. NACS was introduced by Tesla, who has started opening its vast network of Superchargers to non-Tesla brands.

Gas prices drift lower as drivers prepare for July 4th travel



(June 30, 2023) WASHINGTON, D.C.  — Drivers hitting the road for the Fourth of July holiday will find the gift of lower gas prices across most of the country. AAA forecasts that more than 50 million people will celebrate the nation’s birthday by traveling, with a record 43.2 million going by car. The national average for a gallon of gas fell four cents since last week to $3.54.

Ford donates Bronco wildland firefighting rig to National Park Service

(June 29, 2023) DEARBORN, Mich. — As the threat of wildfires increases, Ford and the Bronco Wild Fund are donating a Bronco Badlands SUV with Sasquatch off-road package to the National Park Service for use in Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos, N.M., where it will operate as a firefighting command vehicle.
