Lamborghini concludes best year ever for sales, turnover and profitability

Turnover reached the all-time high of 1.95 billion euros, a 19% increase over 2020. Efficient management supported by the launch of new models drove operating profit to a level never previously seen.

Toyota suspending half of operations in Japan because of quake



(March 18, 2022) TOKYO — Toyota is suspending operations at more than half its operations across Japan and is studying potential disruption to overseas production because of supply chain interruptions triggered by a large earthquake that rattled the country this week. Toyota will halt production for three days starting next week on 18 lines at 11 factories in Japan, out of a total of 28 lines in 14 factories operated nationwide, the automaker said on Friday, according to Automotive News.

Maserati says it will be all-electric by 2030



(March 18, 2022) MODENA, Italy — The Italiam luxury brand Maserati is going fully electric by 2030. And the company said Thursday that all of its vehicles will offer a battery-electric version by 2025. The Gran Turismo coupe and its convertible counterpart, known as the GranCabrio, will be Maserati's first cars to have battery-electric powertrains, next year.

Station wagons were in vogue during the 1950s, and Studebaker had its version. This 1953 Studebaker wagon sits up high in a salvage yard sharing space with an early '50s Dodge van. As was the case with many station wagons in the '50s, the Studebaker was utility-challenged with only two doors.

Toyota makes $27 million investment in Long Beach plant
