First Mazda rolls off Discovery line as production starts on 2023 CX-50



(January 27, 2022) IRVINE, Calif. — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) President and CEO Jeff Guyton drove in the first 2023 Mazda CX-50 to roll off the Discovery Line at Mazda’s new Huntsville, Ala., plant. on Wednesday,  Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM) is a $2.3 billion joint venture partnership between Mazda Motor  and Toyota. The first-ever CX-50, produced in the U.S., is made specifically for the North American market.

Ford Pro announces strong demand for electric E-Transits



(January 27, 2022) SONOMA, Calif. — Demand for the electrified version of America’s best-selling van, 2022 E-Transit has been strong with more than 300 customers placing orders for more than ordering 10,000 vans. Businesses of all sizes ordered E-Transit, from one-man van operations to municipalities including the City of Orlando to some of the nation’s largest service providers and retailers like Walmart, which ordered more than 1,100 vans.

GM announces $7 billion investment in battery and EV manufacturing



(January 26, 2022) LANSING, Mich. — General Motors has announced an investment of more than $7 billion in four Michigan manufacturing sites, creating 4,000 new jobs and retaining 1,000, and significantly increasing battery cell and electric truck manufacturing capacity. This is the single largest investment announcement in GM history.

A Wisconsin 'Advance Design' Chevy



This Chevrolet "Advance Design" pickup was seen waiting for a driver in Paoli, Wis., a village near Madison. Chevrolet's first new post-WWII pickup was built mostly unchanged from 1947 through 1953. The Wisconsin license plate indicates the pickup was used for duty as a farm truck.
