The 1950 Ford marked the second year of the new generation introduced following World War II. Two engines were offered in 1950 — a 3.7-liter L-head inline 6 and a 3.9-liter Flathead V-8 making 100 horsepower. Ford sold 1.2 million units in 1950, second behind Chevrolet that sold about 1.5 million cars. This used up example of a 1950 Ford two-door was found in Arizona.

Production of all-new 2022 Acura MDX begins in Ohio



(January 13, 2021) EAST LIBERTY, Ohio — Acura has celebrated the official production start of the all-new 2022 Acura MDX at the East Liberty Auto Plant in Ohio. The fourth-generation MDX, has been completely redesigned from the ground up to serve as the new flagship of the Acura brand. Based on Acura’s Precision Crafted Performance DNA, it is the most premium, performance-focused and technologically advanced SUV in Acura history. The 2022 MDX will begin arriving at Acura dealerships Feb. 2.

Cadillac offers glimpse of ultra-luxury future with CELESTIQ

Mustang Mach-E, Ford F-150 and Hyundai Elantra win NA awards

(January 12, 2021) The all-new electric Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV was named 2021 North American Utility of the Year while the redesigned Ford F-150 pickup was named truck of the year and the Hyundai Elantra took top car honors. The winners, announced Monday, were selected through a three-part voting process by a jury of 50 automotive journalists from U.S. and Canadian media. The winners were picked from a group of three finalists in each category.

In restructuring move Ford to close assembly plants in Brazil



(January 12, 2021) SAO PAULO, Brazil — Ford Motor Company has announced it will cease production operations in Brazil, but it said it will still serve customers in the South America region with a portfolio of connected and increasingly electrified SUVs, pickups and commercial vehicles sourced from Argentina, Uruguay and other markets.
