(January 20, 2021) Volkswagen has a history of groundbreaking, memorable advertising, and the new all-electric ID.4 coming this spring has inspired its next chapter with a visually stunning demonstration of transportation’s progress from the wheel to the EV future. The ad, created by Johannes Leonardo, was the result of months of planning and imagination using different types of zoetropes — forerunners of motion pictures that were the first examples of animation.

Harley-Davidson unveils new motorcycles for 2021

Cruise and GM team up with Microsoft to commercialize self-driving vehicles

Fiat Chrysler merges with PSA Group to become Stellantis



(January 19, 2021) Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and France-based PSA Group completed their $52 billion tie-up and formally merged into Stellantis on Saturday. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is no more. The merger creates the fourth largest automaker in the world with combined annual sales of around 8.1 million vehicles and deep enough pockets to fund the shift to electric driving and take on bigger rivals Toyota and Volkswagen Group.

GM to invest nearly $800 million in Canadian plant to build EVs



(January 19, 2021) INGERSOLL, Ont. — Unifor members have ratified a three-year contract with General Motors to bring production of its recently announced BrightDrop electric light commercial vehicle, the EV600, to its CAMI manufacturing plant in Ingersoll, Ontario. The nearly $800 million (1 billion Canadian dollar) investment will support GM’s timing to deliver BrightDrop EV600 in late 2021. The investment will enable GM to convert CAMI into Canada’s first large-scale electric delivery vehicles manufacturing plant.
