Ford picks Kansas City to assemble all-electric E-Transit



(November 11, 2020) CLAYCOMO, Mo. — Ford has announced that its Kansas City Assembly Plant will build the all-new E-Transit van, part of a more than $3.2 billion investment in Ford’s North American manufacturing facilities to produce a series of new electric vehicles for commercial and retail customers. The new E-Transit will join the all-electric F-150 announced in September and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E, which begins arriving in dealers’ showrooms next month.

GM adds 3,000 tech jobs across engineering, IT and design

Hyundai reveals all-new 2022 Tucson SUV



(November 10, 2020) WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Hyundai has unveiled its innovative 2022 Tucson SUV to U.S. media in West Hollywood, on Monday. The all-new Tucson design is derived from a series of Hyundai Design Center concepts expressing its evolving Sensuous Sportiness global design identity. Tucson gasoline and hybrid models will begin availability for the U.S. market in spring 2021, with plug-in models available in summer 2021. The new 2022 Tucson internal combustion models will be produced at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) and Ulsan, Korea.

Hyundai achieves automatic emergency braking commitment




(November 9, 2020) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — During the past year, 96% of the Hyundai vehicles produced for sale in the U.S. offered Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) as standard equipment, meeting a voluntary industry commitment two years in advance of the deadline. In 2016, Hyundai joined the industry, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in committing to make AEB standard on virtually all light-duty vehicles by Sept. 1, 2022.
