2021 Ram TRX off-road pickup brings 702 horsepower from HEMI V-8

(August 18, 2020) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Ram officials say the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is "the apex predator of the truck world and cements Ram Truck as North America’s off-road truck leader." Ram TRX expands the light-duty lineup and sets new benchmarks for power and performance among half-ton pickup trucks with the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 engine.

Chevrolet introduced the AK Series pickup in 1941 with a cutting-edge front-end design highlighted by bevelled grille bars with a horizontal upper section and vertical lower section. The new lineup came with two engine sizes — an inline 216.5 cubic inch six making 90 horsepower and an optional 235.5 cubic inch Load Master six making 93 horsepower and considerably more torque. Three transmissions and nine wheelbases were available. This example was found in Utah.

VW Chattanooga celebrates 10 years of Volkswagen Academy

(August 17, 2020) In the early 2000s, Volkswagen operated several successful apprenticeship programs in Germany and, because of its success abroad, the company decided to bring it stateside. The apprenticeship program, one of the core programs of the Volkswagen Academy, officially launched with the opening of the Chattanooga Plant in 2010 and has since trained over 100 apprentices.

This year, as the program marked its 10th anniversary, 28 apprentices successfully completed the program and transitioned into jobs at the plant.
