Ducati's 2019 worldwide sales top 53,000 bikes

A major contribution to this result came from the Panigale: with sales totaling 8,304, it retains the market leadership established in 2018 and confirms its status as the world's best-selling superbike with a market share of 25%.

Honda reaches 20 million auto production milestone in Ohio

(January 14, 2020) MARYSVILLE, Ohio — Workers at Honda of America Mfg. reached a major milestone Monday with production of the company's 20 millionth automobile in Ohio. They cheered as a 2020 Platinum White Pearl Honda Accord Hybrid rolled off the production line at the Marysville Auto Plant, Honda's first auto plant in North America.

The 20 million vehicles reflect the cumulative output of Honda's three Ohio auto plants: the Marysville Auto Plant, the East Liberty Auto Plant, and the Performance Manufacturing Center.

Chevrolet Corvette named North American Car of the Year

(January 13, 2020) DETROIT — The eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, which has not reached U.S. showrooms yet, won the 2020 North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) while the Jeep Gladiator took the truck win, and the Kia Telluride was named top utility vehicle of the year. The awards were announced this morning in Detroit.

This year's winners were selected by a jury of 50 American and Canadian automotive journalists from a group of three finalists in each category. A vehicle must have been redesigned or significantly changed during 2019 to be eligible for the award.

Neuron EV reveals its VEGA electric crossover utility vehicle

Toyota to build prototype 'city of the future'

(January 13, 2020) Toyota has revealed plans to build a prototype “city of the future" on a 175-acre site at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. Called the Woven City, it will be a fully connected ecosystem powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Envisioned as a “living laboratory,” the Woven City will serve as a home to full- time residents and researchers who will be able to test and develop technologies such as autonomy, robotics, personal mobility, smart homes and artificial intelligence in a real-world environment.

Famous Bullitt Mustang driven by Steve McQueen sells for $3.4 million

(January 12, 2020) KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The 1968 Ford Mustang GT that Steve McQueen drove in the classic car chase in the movie Bullitt, one of the most famed cars from American cinema, sold for $3.4 million at auction in Kissimmee, Fla., on Friday, according to Mecum Auctions.

It was the highest price ever paid for a Ford Mustang at auction, according to David Morton, marketing manager for Mecum. The buyer has not been publicly identified.
