VW and Aeris announce formation of Ventic for connected mobility

(January 22, 2020) Volkswagen Group of America, and Aeris, a technology leader in the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced the formation of Ventic LLC, a joint venture that is the result of a long-term commitment between Volkswagen and Aeris in the development and operations of connected vehicle platform technologies.

Ventic is jointly owned, with 51 percent split to Volkswagen and 49 percent to Aeris. The company will focus on Volkswagen brand vehicles in North America, starting with the launch of the next generation Car-Net in most 2020 vehicles.

Maserati introduces 2020 Limited 'Edizione Ribelle' series

(January 22, 2020) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Maserati begins production of 225 limited series “Edizione Ribelle” vehicles which will arrive in North American showrooms at the end of March. The limited series will include 100 Ghibli S Q4, 100 Levante S, and 25 Quattroporte S Q4, in the GranSport trim.

“The name ‘Ribelle’ means rebel in Italian and pays homage to the rebel nature of Maserati as the choice for consumers who want to stand out from the crowd and not blend into the sea of sameness,” according to Al Gardner, CEO of Maserati North America.

Detroit Children's Fund to get $3 million from auction of Corvette VIN #0001

Volvo to give away $1 million in cars for a safety in the Super Bowl

Volkswagen, University of Tennessee to collaborate on innovation hub

2020 Audi Q5 gets boost with plug-in hybrid

The versatile new PHEV offers customers a premium SUV with an efficient, yet powerful driving experience.

Audi says the combination of standard quattro all-wheel drive, powerful gasoline engine, and electric motor heighten performance at a competitive price point. The Audi Q5 TFSI e will be joined by the A8 TFSI e and the Audi A7 TFSI e in the coming months.

Toyota Indiana completes $1.3 billion modernization project

(January 18, 2020) PRINCETON, Ind. — Furthering Toyota’s commitment to better serve customers and build vehicles where they are sold, Toyota Indiana (TMMI) invested an additional $700 million and added 150 new jobs to complete the transformation of its plant modernization project, announced in January 2017.

The project adds 550 new jobs and represents a total new investment of $1.3 billion, which was used for retooling, new equipment installation and advanced manufacturing technologies to further modernize the facility and meet strong demand for the all-new 2020 Toyota Highlander.
