Excellent!" in your best Wayne and Garth imitation, spare a thought for what the auto industry was facing, and what AMC was trying to do with its meager resources.

Bentley starts work on state-of-art engineering test center

(December 4, 2019) CREWE, England — Bentley Motors has announced that work has commenced on a state-of-the-art engineering test facility at the company’s expanding headquarters in Crewe, England. The new center is the latest phase in on-going development at the Pyms Lane site where all Bentley cars are hand-built.

(December 3, 2019) Sixty years ago, the Maserati 5000 GT, a 2+2 coupé, was presented at the Turin Motor Show and was the undisputed star of the event. Maserati now celebrates the anniversary of this extraordinary car, built to the specific request of the Shah of Persia, Reza Pahlavi. Just 34 cars of this model were built at the Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena, with bodywork added by Italy's top coachbuilders of the period.

Rolls-Royce reveals red Phantom commissioned to benefit AIDS fight

(December 3, 2019) GOODWOOD, England — The House of Rolls-Royce has revealed images of a Bespoke Red Phantom, commissioned to benefit (RED), the global charity and its fight to end AIDS. First sketches of the red-themed creation were revealed by the world’s leading luxury manufacturer seven months ago at the Sotheby’s Galleries in New York City.

The Bespoke Phantom will be unveiled at a gala event at the One Thousand Museum in Miami on Wednesday (Dec. 4) as Sotheby’s and RM Sotheby’s launch an exclusive online auction which will run until Dec. 13 on sothebys.com. Proceeds from the auction, after costs, will benefit (RED)’s fight to end AIDS.

Hyundai to built its first manufacturing plant in Indonesia

(December 2, 2019) SEOUL — Hyundai Motor Company has announced it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Indonesian government to build its first manufacturing plant in the country.

The company’s decision to invest in Indonesia will, in particular, support its growth into new ASEAN markets, securing future growth engines to help the business combat slowing demand in the global automotive market.

Polestar goes from promise to production with Polestar 2 prototypes
