Chevrolet and Domino's make ordering pizza as easy as pie

(June 24, 2019) DETROIT — Millions of eligible Chevrolet drivers can now order their favorite Domino’s pizza from their in-vehicle touchscreen so it’s ready for carryout when they get to the store or will arrive at their home if they choose delivery. Domino’s is the latest merchant added to Chevrolet Marketplace, the industry’s first in-vehicle commerce platform.

Within Marketplace, customers will be able to place a saved order or a recent order from their Domino’s Pizza Profile with a few taps on the screen.

BMW introduces the 2020 four-door 8 Series Gran Coupe

(June 23, 2019) BMW has released details of its new four-door 2020 8 Series Gran Coupes. Available in rear-wheel drive 840i, all-wheel drive 840i xDrive and M850i xDrive models, the new Gran Coupes "offer the unmatched combination of beautiful design, luxurious appointments, the latest driver assistance systems, connectivity and sports car performance expected from the top of the line of BMW automobiles," according to BMW.

Vault Portfolio collection to be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson in Connecticut

(June 22, 2019) UNCASVILLE, CONN. — Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions, has consigned the Vault Portfolio collection, an offering of 48 collector vehicles that will cross the block at No Reserve during three Barrett-Jackson events, including the 2019 Northeast and Las Vegas auctions, as well as the 2020 Scottsdale Auction. The first group of 14 collector vehicles from the Vault Portfolio will be sold at the 4th Annual Northeast Auction at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, June 26-29.

CUB introduces RV easy-to-install blind spot devices

(June 21, 2019) LOS ANGELES — CUB, the Taiwan-based advanced driver assistance systems, tire pressure monitoring systems and electromechanical manufacturing company, has introduced two, easy to install, blind spot detection devices for motorhomes and towable trailers.

The CUB devices are solely imported by NOVUS Technologies, the Brea based company.

Group Renault, Nissan, Waymo sign agreement on driverless research

(June 21, 2019) Group Renault, Nissan Motor Co., and Waymo, leaders in their respective fields, have entered into an exclusive agreement for an initial period to explore all aspects of driverless mobility services for passengers and deliveries in France and Japan.

The agreement is designed to bring together the strengths of each party and expand expertise by assessing market opportunities, working together to research commercial, legal and regulatory issues related to driverless transportation-as-a-service offerings in France and Japan.

Lexus makes several advanced safety systems standard for 2020

Bullet-nose Studebaker

Studebaker adopted a bullet-nose look in 1950 giving its car a fresh appearance. Studebaker called it "The Next Look" in cars perhaps implying it would start a trend. Apparently the redesign worked — 1950 sales jumped nearly 250 percent rising to 320,884 units from 129,301 in 1949. This restorable '50 Studebaker was found in Casa Grande, Ariz.
