Ford expanding GoRide Health non-emergency medical transportation

(May 8, 2019) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is expanding its GoRide Health non-emergency medical transportation business nationwide, starting with Ohio. GoRide Health expects to deliver thousands of rides per day in six cities by the end of the year.

GoRide Health is operating in Toledo now, with service coming to Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus by the end of the year. Later this year, the business plans to begin offering its services in major cities in Florida, beginning with Miami. In 2020, it plans to expand to several other states, including North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, and California.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk sets SUV speed record on ice in Russia

(May 8, 2019) At the annual Speed Days of the Baikal Ice Motor Sports Festival 2019 in Russia, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk set the speed record for SUVs driven on ice. According to data confirmed by the Russian Automobile Federation (RAF), the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk was able to achieve an average speed over a distance of 1 km (six-tenths of a mile) of more than 257 km/h (159 mph) with a rolling start and an average speed starting from a standstill of more than 62 mph.

Electrify America launches mobile app to enhance EV charging experience

Lamborghini Polo Storico certifies Miura P400 used in 1969's 'The Italian Job'

(May 6, 2019) Fifty years on from the release of the film “The Italian Job”, Lamborghini Polo Storico has certified the Miura P400, chassis #3586, as the original car used in the 1969 Paramount Pictures film.

The orange Miura P400 (technically “Arancio Miura”) with white/black leather interior has been the most pursued Miura in recent decades: it appears at the start of the film, driven by the actor Rossano Brazzi on the Great St Bernard Pass.

400 horseless carriages readying for Brighton Veteran Car Run

(May 3, 2019) LONDON — As tradition dictates, at day break on the first Sunday in November more than 400 remarkable horseless carriages dating back to the dawn of motoring will set out from Hyde Park on their annual pilgrimage to Brighton on the Sussex coast.

As entries open today, almost exactly six months in advance of the annual pilgrimage from capital to coast, participants from across the globe can now sign up their pre-1905 cars for the 2019 Bonhams London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
