Volvo Car USA launches post-accident guidance service

(May 14, 2019) ROCKLEIGH, N.J. — Volvo drivers will now have help at their fingertips in the minutes following an accident, via their smartphones. Volvo Car Accident Advisor is the first mobile, post-accident experience that serves up emergency services and checklists, guided accident documentation and digital insurance claims and repair services to keep drivers safe, informed and in control after a collision.

Volvo Car USA worked with CCC Information Services, a leading software as a service provider to the automotive, insurance and collision-repair industries, to develop the service.

Hyundai Motor Group to invest 80M EUR million in Rimac Automobili

(May 14, 2019) SEOUL — Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation have jointly invested 80M Euros ($89.6 million) in Rimac Automobili  — the Croatian high-performance electric vehicle technology and sports car company. The companies have announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on the development of high-performance electric vehicles.

With the new collaboration underway, Hyundai Group aims to speed up its transition towards Clean Mobility and position itself as a global leader in driving this change in the industry.

McLaren Automotive marks its 20,000th production car

(May 13, 2019) McLaren Automotive, the luxury British sports car and supercar company, has celebrated the 20,000th car to be hand-assembled at its McLaren Production Centre (MPC) in Woking, Surrey. The 20,000th car built was a right-hand drive 600LT Spider in Chicane Grey from the brand’s Sports Series line-up.

Launched only last summer as the next chapter in the McLaren ‘Longtail’ story, all production slots for the Coupe variant have already been filled.
