Seventh generation BMW 3 Series unveiled

Jaguar kicks off Jaguar Electrifies Experience in San Francisco

(October 2, 2018) — Jaguar North America is kicking off the Jaguar Electrifies Experience, a multi-city national tour, in San Francisco this week. To mark the premiere of the Experience, Jaguar has launched a marketing campaign across the San Francisco that includes billboards and branded VOLTA charging stations, as well as local vendor integrations. Jaguar has also released a custom suite of San Francisco I-PACE assets, including images and video.

Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI honors history with 81,000 fans

(October 2, 2018) Porsche passion fueled a record turnout of fans at Rennsport Reunion VI, the latest iteration of the world’s largest Porsche festival. The family reunion of historic race cars, legendary drivers and engineers, and Porsche owners and enthusiasts packed WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, Calif., for four days, Sept. 27-30.

Race champions and contenders from 70 years of Porsche motorsports roared around the track while around 2,000 vehicles from past and present were on display.

Volkswagen, Stanford University develop fuel cell for the future

(October 1, 2018) — Fuel cell technology is regarded as a serious alternative to battery-electric technology, but it has always come with a comparatively high cost. A partnership between Volkswagen and Stanford University has significantly reduced this disadvantage thanks to a newly developed process.

One of the biggest cost drivers for fuel cells is the use of platinum, which is required as a catalyst to operate the fuel cell. In the catalytic process, platinum is distributed as particles on carbon powder.
