Toyota recalling certain C-HR vehicles to tighten rear axle bolts

(October 12, 2018) PLANO, Texas — Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2019 Model Year C-HR vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 700 vehicles are involved in this recall.

There is a possibility that one or more rear axle bearing bolts on some vehicles may not have been tightened sufficiently during the manufacturing process.

Ford innovates with 'miracle' material graphene for vehicle parts

(October 11, 2018) DEARBORN, Mich. — It’s in cell phones and even some sporting goods — and soon, for the first time in automotive, it will be under the hood in Ford vehicles. Ford Motor Company is announcing the use of graphene — a two-dimensional nanomaterial — in vehicle parts, timely with National Nanotechnology Day.

Graphene has recently generated the enthusiasm and excitement in the automotive industry for paint, polymer and battery applications.

BMW says new Z4 Roadster will arrive with genuine sports car performance

Italian plant prepares for production of new Jeep Renegade plug-in hybrid

(October 10, 2018) MELFI, Italy — The FCA Melfi Plant in Italy is beginning preparations to produce the Jeep Renegade Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) scheduled for market launch in early 2020. The Renegade PHEV will be produced alongside the Renegade and 500X gas engine products that are currently produced at the Melfi vehicle assembly plant.

Hyundai says 2019 Kona Electric can go 258 miles on a charge

Nissan builds Ultimate Service Titan in collaboration with the Red Cross

A Chevy wagon



This 1954 Chevrolet 4-door station wagon was discovered in New Mexico. 1954 was the last model year on the platform introduced in 1950 before big changes that were to come in 1955. Available engines were a 3.5-liter (215 cubic inch) inline 6 making 92 horsepower and a 3.9-liter (235 cubic inch) inline 6 making 106 horsepower. Transmission choices were a 3-speed manual or a 2-speed powerglide automatic. Of the 1,150,816 Chevrolets produced in 1954, 56,735 or about 5 percent were wagons.
