Volkswagen announces pricing for all-new Jetta starting at $19,395

(April 6, 2018) HERNDON, Va. — Volkswagen of America, today announced full pricing of the all-new 2019 Jetta starting at $19,395 including destination charge for the base S model. Now based off the award-winning MQB platform, the 2019 Jetta offers bolder design, more interior space than the outgoing model and new technology.

Pricing ranges through five trim levels topping out at $27,795 including destination charge for the SEL Premium.

Toyota and Porsche win brand-level honors in Best Retained Value Awards

(April 6, 2018) SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Edmunds has announced the 2018 Edmunds Best Retained Value Awards, recognizing the new 2018 vehicles and brands with the highest projected residual values after five years. Toyota and Porsche took home brand-level honors in the standard and luxury categories, respectively, with Toyota also claiming five model-level awards and Porsche claiming three.

This example of Studebaker’s 1941- 48 M-series truck was discovered along old Route 66 in Santa Rosa, N.M.  One of the company's most successful line of trucks, it could be purchased in 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1 1/2 ton and 2 ton versions.  First produced in November 1940, it saw extensive action during WW II. It sported a more aerodynamic shape than most trucks of the time.

Subaru has best March sales ever in U.S.

(April 5, 20178) Subaru of America this week reported 58,097 vehicle sales for March, a 5.9 percent increase over March 2017, and the best March in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 149,703 vehicles, a 3.8 percent gain over the same period in 2017.

March marked the 49th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the automaker. Crosstrek and Outback sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best March ever.

BMW Financial launches vehicle subscription service in U.S.

(April 5, 2018) WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J.  — BMW Financial Services in the U.S. has announced the debut of Access by BMW, a new vehicle subscription service that will provide members with unlimited access to a diverse fleet of BMW vehicles through a single monthly subscription.  Access by BMW will debuted as a pilot program in Nashville, Tenn., this week.  The program will be facilitated by local BMW dealers who are responsible for vehicle deliveries and maintenance.

(April 5, 2018) Unlike the Atlas itself, Volkswagen's latest concept could not evade the company’s SUV naming convention, earning a model name — Tanoak — that begins with the 20th letter of the alphabet. Unlike the Tiguan, however, whose name is a combination of “Tiger” and “Iguana,” the Atlas Tanoak pickup concept’s secondary name comes from a type of evergreen that belongs to the beech family, but is considered an evolutionary link between oaks and chestnuts. The Tanoak was unveiled at the New York auto show.
