World Series MVP George Springer presented 2018 Chevy Silverado

Strong pickup, crossover sales lead to October gains

(November 2, 2017) October sales figures released Wednesday showed that Ford, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, Toyota and Subaru all showed higher sales compared to October 2016. Fiat Chrysler, General Motors and Hyundai-Kia declined. Overall, sales slipped slightly from October 2016, but it was the second strongest selling rate of the year.

Two Chevy Colorado concept trucks take capability to next level

(November 2, 2017) LAS VEGAS — Chevrolet is expanding the performance envelope of the segment-redefining Colorado with the Colorado ZR2 AEV concept and ZR2 Race Development Truck. Revealed at the SEMA Show this week, the trucks demonstrate the capability of Colorado and its off-road performance variant, the Colorado ZR2.

1958 Edsel lives on in Arizona



Edsel was developed to take on Oldsmobile and Buick from General Motors, and DeSoto from the Chrysler Corp. slotting into the Ford lineup between Mercury and Lincoln. The Edsel was unveiled on Sept. 4, 1957, as a 1958 model. Although it was not enthusiastically received by the public, it sold close to expectations in its first year at 63,110. But sales slumped badly in 1959 and the car was discontinued in 1960 when only 2,505 units were sold. This 1958 example was found in Mayer, Ariz.

Ford brings home two 'Hottest' vehicle awards from the SEMA show

(November 1, 2017) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford Focus and Ford F-Series are now back-to-back-to-back winners of Hottest Hatch and Hottest Truck awards from the Specialty Equipment Market Association. Ford’s domination of the show continues, as it collects these coveted awards at a greater pace than any other automaker.

Ford has won 15 out of the 33 Hottest Vehicle awards presented by SEMA since 2010.

Toyota celebrates 60 years in the U.S.

(November 1, 2017) PLANO, Texas — When Toyota launched its North American headquarters in a Hollywood, Calif., dealership on Oct. 31, 1957, it was, no doubt, a frightening affair.
 
Halloween notwithstanding, a Japanese car company making a foray into the U.S. market was a bold move 60 years ago. And its first vehicle, the Toyopet Crown, didn’t turn out to be a screaming success either.
 

Mopar teases Jeep performance parts for 2018 Wrangler
