Volkswagen reveals compact I.D. CROZZ concept electric vehicle

(November 29, 2017) LOS ANGELES — Volkswagen Group of America has revealed it will introduce an all-new electric compact sport-utility vehicle in 2020 based on the I.D. CROZZ concept vehicle, which made its North American debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The all-electric compact SUV is expected to precede the revival of the iconic Volkswagen Bus in 2022, with a vehicle based on the I.D. BUZZ concept.

'Ask Mercedes' can answer a host of questions

(November 27, 2017) STUTTGART, Germany — What is this button in the center console for? How can I link my mobile phone with my car? What is "Sport+"? A host of questions posed by customers about the various displays, functions and controls of their vehicle can now be answered by the virtual assistant "Ask Mercedes."

The new service makes use of artificial intelligence (AI) and combines a chatbot with augmented reality functions: questions can be typed in on a smartphone screen or asked using voice recognition.

116 Volkswagens in colorful convoy deliver Christmas gifts to children

Though in line with the rest of the Lincoln family in 2014, it looked increasingly out of place as everything from the Continental to the Navigator adopted the brand’s new squared-off “horseshoe” design.  For the 2019 model year, all that is about to change.

Don’t expect to find much 'sport' in the Outlander Sport

(November 24, 2017) Despite the name Outlander Sport, a sporting driving experience is not in the equation. The steering is vague with little feedback, body roll presents itself quickly on curves and when cornering, and acceleration from the 168 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is disappointing. Much of the blame can be attributed to the CVT automatic transmission that really struggles to get the most from the rather anemic horsepower, creating excessive engine noise in the process.
