GM's July sales off 14%, but four crossover models have best July ever

(August 1, 2017) DETROIT — While General Motors July retail sales of 202,220 vehicles were down about 14 percent from strong sales in July 2016, four crossovers — the Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Acadia, Buck Envision and Cadillac XT5 — had their best July ever. In July, GM’s crossovers and trucks account for 80 percent of sales for the company’s best monthly mix ever.

Toyota to support American Center for Mobility; contributes $5 million

(August 1, 2017) TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and the Toyota Research Institute (TRI) announced today their intent to support the American Center for Mobility (ACM) as a Founder-level sponsor with a $5 million contribution.

As an ACM contributor, Toyota will be a member of a government-industry team which supports ACM initiatives to create a large-scale test environment in Southeast Michigan where various companies can test their Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) technologies.
