Toyota issues recall on 32,000 Tacomas for crankshaft fix

(June 12, 2017) PLANO, Texas — Toyota has announced that it is conducting a safety recall of certain 2016 and 2017 V6 engine Toyota Tacoma vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 32,000 vehicles are involved.
 
The V6 engine crankshaft timing rotor in the involved vehicles may have been produced with excessive anti-corrosion coating.  This could cause the crank position sensor to malfunction.  If this occurs, the vehicle may display a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), run roughly, misfire, or in some instances, stall.  A stalling condition while driving at higher speeds may increase the risk of a crash.

Nissan to offer automatic emergency braking on 1 million 2018 vehicles

Volkswagen brand deliveries rise in May worldwide

(June 10, 2017) WOLFSBURG, Germany — The Volkswagen brand delivered 513,500 vehicles to customers worldwide in May, an increase of 3.5 percent compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.

Jürgen Stackmann, Volkswagen Brand board member for Sales, said: "May was a successful month for the Volkswagen brand. Our deliveries grew in almost all key markets. As a result, our overall delivery figures for the period January to May are at last year's level.

Team Honda activates 20,000 volunteers in community service
