Subaru renews partnership with National Wildlife Federation

(April 4, 2017) CHERRY HILL, N.J. —  Subaru is once again partnering with the National Wildlife Federation to help preserve wildlife and their habitats through the automaker’s environmentally-focused philanthropic platform, Subaru Loves the Earth. With wildlife declining by over 58% percent due to habitat loss, Subaru and the National Wildlife Federation are raising awareness of this important issue by creating over 400 new Certified Wildlife Habitats at local schools and spearheading hands-on educational programs.

Volkswagen announces pricing of new Atlas starting at $30,500

(April 4, 2017) HERNDON, Va. — Volkswagen of America today announced pricing of the all-new, seven-passenger 2018 Atlas. With a starting price of $30,500 for the four-cylinder turbo 2.0L TSI S FWD model (late availability), and $31,900 for the 3.6-liter V6 S FWD model, the Chattanooga-built SUV is loaded with standard equipment and available technology features. Those prices do not include destination charge, which Volkswagen did not divulge.

Subaru to introduce redesigned 2018 Crosstrek in New York

FCA sales decline 5 percent in March

(April 3, 2017) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) today reported U.S. sales of 190,254 units, a 5 percent decrease compared with sales in March 2016 when 199,467 units were sold.
 
In March, fleet sales of 43,992 units were down 15 percent year over year as FCA US continues its strategy of reducing its sales to the daily rental segment. Fleet sales represented 23 percent of total FCA US sales in March. FCA US retail sales of 146,262 units were down 1 percent for the month, and represented 77 percent of total March sales.
 

GM says it was fastest growing automaker in March

(April 3, 2017) DETROIT — General Motors, which grew its retail sales faster than any other full-line automaker in 2016, outpaced the industry once again in March. The company also gained retail share in the first quarter of 2017.

“The economy is strong and we see more growth ahead for our brands,” said Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president of sales operations. “More people are working, consumer confidence is at a 16-year high, fuel prices are low and Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac have a wave of new crossovers to compete in the industry’s biggest and hottest segments.”
