Ford launching technology-packed new 2017 Escape

Harley-Davidson extends free training to members of the military

(November 17, 2015) Harley-Davidson has announced that it is extending free training at its riding academy through next year for members of the military. The program is now available to active-duty, retired, reservists and veterans. The free training was first offered earlier this year prior to Armed Forces Day aboard the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier in Charleston, S.C.

Toyota's Georgetown plant to begin generating electricity from methane

(November 17, 2015) GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Toyota is working to help everyone breathe a little easier. The company recently announced its intent to virtually eliminate CO2 emissions from its factories and vehicles, and it’s about to flip the switch on a very tangible example of this effort. Toyota’s Georgetown, Ky., manufacturing plant will begin generating electricity from methane, a byproduct of trash decomposition at the nearby Central Kentucky Landfill on Nov. 23, 2015.
 

Volkswagen Dune, based on classic Baja Bugs, on sale early in 2016

Ford first automaker to test autonomous vehicles at Mcity

(November 16, 2015) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is the first automaker to test autonomous vehicles at Mcity — the full-scale simulated real-world urban environment at the University of Michigan. The 32-acre facility is part of the university’s Mobility Transformation Center.

“Testing Ford’s autonomous vehicle fleet at Mcity provides another challenging, yet safe, urban environment to repeatedly check and hone these new technologies,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “This is an important step in making millions of people’s lives better and improving their mobility.”

Kia announces plans for a new hybrid crossover

Lexus takes a new path with its popular RX crossover
