A Black Friday experience — Drifting at the mall

(November 27, 2015) NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Drifting fans like mall crowds on Black Friday about as much as fish like fresh air. To commiserate with the fans, Hoonigan and Nissan joined forces to take over the abandoned Hawthorne Mall near Los Angeles, and celebrate Black Friday in their own unique way. Ford delivers thousands of Thanksgiving meals to homebound seniors

(November 26, 2015) DETROIT — Ford is again teaming up with the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) for the eighth consecutive year as part of the Holiday Meals on Wheels Thanksgiving program. Their efforts will ensure more than 6,000 area homebound seniors can enjoy a Thanksgiving Day meal.

Ford’s donation of $50,000 to DAAA not only goes to supply the food for Thanksgiving Meals, but it provides additional funding for the daily meal service throughout the year. Additionally, Ford employees and their families today assembled freshly prepared meals at Valley Services in Detroit.

Kia releases exterior pictures of the all-new 2017 Cadenza

Volvo pilots in-car delivery service in Sweden

The premium car maker has launched the world’s first commercially available in-car delivery service in Volvo's hometown, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Traffic fatalities fall in 2014, but estimates show 2015 trending higher

(November 25, 2015) WASHINGTON — The nation saw a slight decline in traffic deaths during 2014. However, an increase in estimated fatalities during the first six months of this year reveals a need to reinvigorate the fight against deadly behavior on America's roads, the Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Tuesday.

NHTSA’s Fatal Analysis Reporting System (FARS) figures for 2014 show 32,675 people died in motor vehicle crashes in 2014, a 0.1-percent decrease from the previous year.

Making your Toyota run cleaner before you even start it

(November 24, 2015) TORRANCE, Calif. — Toyota Transport, the automaker’s in-house vehicle transportation trucking company, now has its first car hauler that runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The Long Beach, Calif.., based truck/trailer does what any other car hauler can do, except it does it while emitting 85 percent less overall particulate matter and 10 percent less carbon dioxide.

The CNG truck was commissioned by Toyota and designed and built in a joint collaboration with Peterbilt and Cottrell, Inc., the truck and trailer manufacturers.
 

Tony Soprano's Cadillac Escalade sells for $119,000 at auction

(November 23, 2015) BOSTON — The white 2003 Cadillac Escalade used on screen by James Gandolfini in his iconic role as Tony Soprano has sold for $119,780 according to Boston-based, RR Auction. The vehicle was used during the final three seasons of the award-winning HBO series The Sopranos.

Ford recalling 451,865 Fusion and Milan sedans for fuel tank issue

(November 23, 2015) Ford is recalling 451,865 Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans from the 2010 and 2011 model years to fix a potential fuel tank problem that could lead to a fire. The canister purge valve in some vehicles may work improperly, which can cause pressure in the fuel tank to change, Ford said in a statement today.
