Honda's refreshed 2016 Accord loaded with new technology

(July 24, 2015) MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Honda introduced a refreshed 2016 Accord loaded with advanced technology in Silicon Valley Thursday, the first time the company has launched a new vehicle in the U.S. tech hub. Coming to market in August, the 2016 Accord will be the first Honda model and among the first high-volume cars in the marketplace to feature both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

FCA recalling 144,416 crossovers for engine cover problem

(July 23, 2015) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is voluntarily recalling an estimated 144,416 crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) in the U.S. to better secure their engine covers. Engine covers in certain vehicles may become dislodged. If they come in contact with exhaust components, it may pose a fire risk.
 
This condition was discovered during an FCA US investigation of three incidents in Chile. In each case, the vehicle had been driven extensively on unpaved or uneven surfaces. The company is aware of a single related injury, described as minor.
 

Volkswagen Chattanooga builds 500,000th Passat

(July 23, 2015) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Volkswagen Chattanooga has achieved a significant production milestone with the completion of its 500,000th Passat.

The car, produced in the world’s first and only LEED Platinum certified factory, was a Candy White Limited Edition, with black interior, keyless access with pushbutton start, a rearview camera, heated seats, a 170 horsepower, 1.8 liter turbo engine, premium radio and 17 inch alloy Sonoma wheels.

Fiat brand returns to Vans US Open of Surfacing for third year
