Audi sets new annual sales record in U.S. with one month to go

(December 2, 2014) HERNDON, Va. — Audi set an annual U.S. sales record this past weekend by surpassing the previous record set in 2013. The new milestone set with one month remaining means that 2014 is the fifth-consecutive record year for the premium brand. By the end of December, Audi expects to register 48 consecutive monthly sales records, the longest-running streak in the U.S. auto industry.

Chrysler reports best November sales since 2001

(December 2, 2014) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler Group today reported U.S. sales of 170,839 units, a 20 percent increase compared with sales in November 2013 when 142,275 units were sold, and the group’s best November sales since 2001.

GM recalls 316,357 vehicles over headlamp problem

(December 2, 2014) DETROIT — General Motors is recalling 316,357 older-model SUVs and sedans for a problem with malfunctioning headlamps. The recall covers 2006-07 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy SUVs; 2006 TrailBlazer EXT and Envoy XL; 2006-07 Buick Rainier SUVs; 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse sedans; 2006-08 Saab 9-7X SUVs; and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender SUVs.

First 2015 Corvette Z06s on their way to customers

Mazda recalling 100,000 Mazda6 sedans for tire pressure monitor fix

(December 1, 2014) DETROIT — Mazda is recalling about 100,000 of its Mazda6 sedans from the 2014 and 2015 model years because the tire monitoring system may not alert drivers to low tire pressure, U.S. regulators said last week.

Owners of the cars should bring them into Mazda dealerships for a software update, the company told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
