Nissan opens first phase of $2 billion Mexican plant

(November 13, 2013) AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico — Nissan today celebrated an important milestone in its "Power 88" growth strategy with the opening of the first phase of a $2-billion manufacturing complex in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The new plant is Nissan's third in Mexico and will raise the company's output in the country to more than 850,000 vehicles annually from 680,000 today, an increase of 25 percent.

The world's first stretched E-Type Jaguar unveiled

(November 12, 2013) LONDON — The world’s first stretched E-Type has been unveiled and will go on show in London later this week at a major automotive awards ceremony. Built in 1968, the left hand drive Jaguar E-Type series 1 4.2 roadster has been stretched by four and a half inches during a major restoration carried out by Classic Motor Cars Limited of Bridgnorth (CMC).

BMW global sales reach all-time high in October

(November 11, 2013) MUNICH — BMW Group has reported record monthly sales in October. BMW says that with 165,851 BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered worldwide, sales were 5.2% higher than in the same month last year.

Between January and October 2013, sales increased by 7.3% to reach a new all-time high of 1,602,018 vehicles. Last year they were 1,493,154.
