Nissan gives exclusive gold-painted GT-R to the 'world's fastest man'

(May 6, 2013) JAMAICA — Nissan has delivered a special GT-R, bathed in exclusive gold paint, to Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt in appreciation for his contributions as a Nissan brand ambassador for GT-R. Bolt, known as "the world's fastest man," has been promoting the company's brand awareness in association with the Nissan Global Brand Campaign, which kicked off in April 2012 and has been running in markets around the world ever since.

Honda to build transmission plant in Celaya, Mexico

General Motors sells April record 261,870 vehicles in China

(May 6, 2013) SHANGHAI — Vehicle sales by General Motors and its joint ventures in China increased 15.3 percent on an annual basis last month to an April record 261,870 units. Shanghai GM and SAIC-GM-Wuling, as well as their Buick, Chevrolet, Wuling and Baojun brands, all reached all-time highs for April sales. Cadillac set an all-time monthly sales record.

Toyota West Virginia plant commemorates 10 millionth powertrain unit
