New advertising: Introducing the Lincoln Motor Company

Porsche reports 71 percent increase in sales over November 2011

(December 4, 2012) ATLANTA — Porsche has  announced a record November 2012 sales of 3,865 vehicles, a 71 percent increase over November 2011 when 2,255 vehicles were sold in the U.S.

November 2012 was the best sales month ever for Porsche in the United States. For the year, Porsche has sold 32,091 cars in the U.S., an 18 percent increase over the same period last year when 27,189 cars were sold.

Departing Suzuki shows 22 percent sales growth

(December 4, 2012) BREA, Calif. — American Suzuki, which is leaving the U.S. market, on Monday reported November 2012 sales of 2,224 units, a 22% increase compared to the same period last year led by SX4 sales, which rose 42% year-over-year.

Honda reports best all-time November sales in U.S.

(December 4, 2012) TORRANCE, Calif. — American Honda reports an all-time record for the month of November, with November 2012 U.S. sales of 116,580 units, an increase of 38.9 percent compared with November 2011.

The Honda Division posted November 2012 sales of 104,334 units, an increase of 41.0 percent compared with November 2011. Acura U.S. November sales of 12,246 units represents an increase of 23.6 percent over November 2011.

Terrain becomes the star of the GMC brand

(December 4, 2012) DETROIT — The GMC Terrain’s November sales were the best ever, with retail sales up 28 percent and total sales up 44 percent. The small SUV is also on track for its best year ever in retail and total sales.

GMC ended November with year-over-year retail sales down 3 percent for the month. Total sales in November were up 1 percent.

Ford begins production in Spain of new Kuga SUV

(December 4, 2012) VALENCIA, Spain — Ford has begun volume production of the all-new Ford Kuga SUV at its assembly plant in Valencia, Spain, with deliveries to dealerships across Europe to follow soon.  The new Kuga offers segment-first technology including hands-free tailgate; class-leading handling with Ford’s new global intelligent all-wheel drive system and enhanced Torque Vectoring Control; and introduces Ford EcoBoost petrol engine technology to the European SUV market.

U.S. November sales up 15 percent

(December 3, 2012) Honda, BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota and Chrysler set the pace as automakers reported higher November sales in what was another strong month for the industry.

Industry sales climbed 15 percent last month to more than 1.14 million units — topping forecasts. U.S. light-vehicle sales were expected to rise 12 percent in November to 1.11 million units, based on the average estimate from 10 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.

Chrysler sales continue steady climb

(December 3, 2012) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler today reported U.S. sales of 122,565 units, a 14 percent increase compared with sales in November 2011, and the group’s best November sales since 2007.

The Chrysler, Dodge, Ram Truck and Fiat brands each posted year-over-year sales gains in November compared with the same month last year. The Fiat brand’s 123 percent increase was the largest sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand for the month. November marked Chrysler Group’s 32nd-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains.
