Chrysler continues string of month-over-month sales increases

(February 1, 2012) Chrysler Group continued its monthly sales increase string to 22 in January with sales rising 44 percent over January 2011. Strong showings from the Jeep, Ram and Chrysler brands led the way.

January was the eighth straight month sales advanced 20 percent or more. It was the best January showing since 2008.

GM to build $200 million stamping plant in Texas

(February 1, 2012) ARLINGTON, Texas — General Motors will start construction next week on a new $200 million stamping facility that will create approximately 180 jobs. The new facility, part of  the company’s Arlington manufacturing complex, will produce large stamping components for the next generation of full-size Chevrolet Tahoes, Suburbans, GMC Yukons and Cadillac Escalades.

(February 1, 2012) HERNDON, Va. — Volkswagen revealed its new commercial today giving viewers a sneak peek of a special, extended 75-second spot online, with the 60-second version of the ad running in the second quarter of the Super Bowl. This is the third consecutive year that Volkswagen has advertised on game day.
