Edge joins nine other Ford vehicles as top safety pick

(April 21, 2011) DEARBORN, Mich. — The 2011 Ford Edge is off to a fast start and could gain even more popularity after becoming the latest Ford vehicle to earn a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (for models built after February 2011).

All-new Honda Civic to start at $15,605

(April 20, 2011) NEW YORK — The entire 2012 Honda Civic lineup made its highly anticipated world debut today at the 2011 New York International Auto Show.

In addition to debuting in New York, the Civic went on-sale today at Honda dealerships nationwide. The base model Civic DX Coupe manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) starts at $15,605, which is unchanged from the outgoing model.

No joke, Colbert goes sailing with Audi

(April 20, 2011) New York — Comedian Stephen Colbert joined Johan de Nysschen, President of Audi of America, at the 2011 New York Auto Show to announce the formation of Team Audi in the biennial 2011 Charleston Bermuda Race. 



“If you're going to win a race, you want to be in an Audi,” exclaimed Colbert. “I tried bolting a mast and sail to an S5 cabriolet and took her for spin on the harbor, and the results were, well...moist! So I decided if I couldn’t sail an Audi, I would ask them to sponsor my boat.” 



2012 Accent follows Hyundai design theme

(April 20, 2011) NEW YORK — Hyundai Motor America introduced the all-new 2012 Accent with claims of best-in-class standard fuel economy and power at the New York Auto Show. This marks the U.S. debut of the latest version of the subcompact sedan and the new top-of-the line Accent five-door.

The 2012 Accent is slated to hit dealerships this summer.

Ready to roll in the Big Apple

CTS adds horsepower, new grille for 2012

(April 19, 2011) DETROIT — Cadillac’s CTS luxury sport sedan, coupe and wagon will add an upgraded V-6 engine, new grille and new Touring Package edition for the 2012 model year.

The new 3.6-liter V-6 will use a lighter, more efficient design to give customers more power at the same fuel economy as the current 3.6-liter V-6. The new engine delivers an SAE-certified 318 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, compared to the current engine’s 304 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.
