Students push boundaries of fuel efficiency

Ford begins building digital child crash dummies

(April 5, 2010) DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford is beginning research into one of the world’s first digital human child body models that could someday serve as a digital dummy for computer crash testing with a goal of enhancing research of future safety technologies.

Mercedes-Benz has best first-quarter ever in U.S.

(PRNewswire) — Mercedes-Benz USA on Friday reported March sales of 22,546 vehicles, a 12.6 percent improvement over March 2010 and the company's highest March volume and first quarter on record. For Hyundai, it's best of everything

Ford sees sales of fuel-efficient vehicles grow in March

(April 4, 2011) DEARBORN, Mich. — Consumer demand for Ford’s fuel-efficient vehicles continues to grow as March sales increased 19 percent versus a year ago. Year-to-date, Ford sales totaled 496,720, up 16 percent.

“With gasoline prices eclipsing $3.50 a gallon, consumers are placing a high priority on fuel efficiency in every size and kind of vehicle,” said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service.

Chrysler reports a March sales increase of 31 percent
