'Vee Dubs' to join UK Simply VW event on June 26

(June 12, 2016) HAMPSHIRE, England — "Vee Dubs" of every type are invited to join the great day out for Volkswagen fans and visitors at Beaulieu’s second Simply VW on Sunday 26th June. Sponsored by Breeze Volkswagen Group, the celebration of this much-loved German marque will return with a varied line-up of Volkswagen models, both classic and modern.

Campers and commercials, from the iconic Type 2 to the latest T6, will form the backbone of the display, with additional saloons, hatches and sports cars.

Look out for air-cooled icons such as the Beetle and Karmann Ghia, as well as 1970s and 1980s models such as the Golf, Polo and Scirocco, and their modern counterparts. All are welcome to take part in the rally.

Volkswagen clubs will also showcase their members’ cars, with the New Forest Dub Club, the Vee Dub social group and the R32OC owners’ forum all taking part.




Throughout the day, visitors can vote for their favorite Volkswagen of the show in the People’s Choice Award. The driver of the winning car will be presented with a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and a special Autoglym prize, before leading a cavalcade of the most popular cars through the attraction grounds.

Rally participants, displaying a Volkswagen in the rally, can enjoy all of the features of the Beaulieu attraction for the great value ticket of £10 an adult and £5 a child. Tickets can be bought in advance online or on arrival. Vehicle entry into the Beaulieu parkland is from 9 a.m., when the Brabazon Restaurant will serve breakfast snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Overnight camping on Saturday, June 25, is available for rally participants, while camping tickets need to be bought in advance.

Admission to the event also includes access to all of the Beaulieu attraction. Don’t miss the National Motor Museum’s new Driving Change display, which explores motoring innovations, technology and safety throughout history and makes motoring predictions for the future. Visit On Screen Carsand the World of Top Gear, take a stroll around the Palace House which has been home to the Montagu family since 1538 and the 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and grounds.
