Tata sales up in October

(November 1, 2010) Tata Motors of India, owners of Jaguar and Land Rover, have reported a 21 percent growth in October sales as compared to October 2009.

Tata reported that Jaguar and Land Rover sales "continued their upward trend" without specifying actual sales.

Total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in October were 64,757 vehicles, a growth of 21 percent over 53,404 vehicles sold in October 2009. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for October 2010 were 58,807, a 16 percent growth over 50,552 sold in October last year.

Cumulative sales for the year are 444,870  a growth of 50 percent over 296,354 sold last year.
