Qoros to unveil Model K-EV Concept at Shanghai Auto 2017

(April 12, 2017) SHANGHAI — Qoros Automotive Co. (Qoros Auto) is set to reveal Qoros Model K-EV, its newest high-performance electric concept car at Shanghai Auto 2017. Featuring forward-looking design and cutting-edge technologies, Model K-EV is created by an international design and engineering team to offer customers premium driving and riding experiences and a taste of future mobility.

The Qoros Model K-EV features a revolutionary asymmetric door design, including a gull-wing door on the driver's side that automatically opens when activated.

The front passenger's door includes a two-hinged system that can open outward like a conventional door or slide horizontally if needed. The rear passenger side door features a sliding system to maximize convenience and ease of use for passengers entering and exiting the car. Additionally, the car's interior has been designed to create two distinct cabin spaces in the front and rear, providing more comfort to back-seat passengers.

Qoros Model K-EV features "Clever Carbon Cabin" (CCC) technology, a seamlessly-integrated cabin made primarily from carbon fiber. This durable material significantly reduces the mass of the vehicle, contributing to an increase in the vehicle's energy efficiency to provide high mileage that helps reduce "range anxiety."

CCC's use of carbon fiber also maintains vehicle body strength and durability while maintaining occupant safety over long-term use. The seamless construction of CCC lends Model K-EV its refined and simplified appearance, while its aerodynamic design features and sleek body lines help to enhance its performance and increase energy efficiency by significantly reducing wind drag.

The Qoros Model K-EV features an individually-powered high performance all-wheel drive system, utilizing the same high performance electric drive-line technology also found in Regera, the plug-in hybrid supercar designed by legendary Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg. Such proven technology puts Model K-EV ahead of 'concept car' category and opens the possibility for mass production in the near future.

Dr Leon Liu, chief executive officer of Qoros Auto, stated that Model K-EV represents a crucial milestone furthering the company's new energy strategy. Following the debut of Model K-EV at Shanghai Auto, plans are being drawn to put Model K-EV into mass production in 2019.
