Porsche worldwide July sales increase 22 percent to 20,733

(August 8, 2015) ATLNTA — There were 20,733 Porsche customers worldwide who took delivery of a new vehicle in July — an increase of 22 percent compared to the same month last year. Nearly 1,900 of these customers opted for a convertible Porsche from the 911 Cabriolet and Boxster model lines.

In the first seven months of this year, Porsche delivered 134,717 vehicles globally. This corresponds to an increase of nearly 29 percent compared to the same period in 2014.

“The second half of the year started well with the best July in the history of our company”, said Bernhard Maier, member of the Executive Board, Sales and Marketing. “Now we are continuing to enhance our product line-up. Customers and fans of our brand can look forward to a special world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.”

Porsche was popular in the German market with 3,179 deliveries in July. The sports car manufacturer achieved a sales increase of 46 percent in the German market compared with the same month in 2014. The U.S. market was the most successful individual market in July 2015 with more than 4,700 new vehicles delivered to customers – an increase of ten percent compared with the same month last year.

Internationally, the Macan had the strongest performance of all model lines in July with approximately 7,800 sporty compact SUVs delivered to customers worldwide. 911 and Cayman sports car models also experienced high demand with both model lines recording double-digit growth rates.
