New resource information available for troubleshooting and repairs

(May 21, 2019) KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Website visitors of BlueSpringFordParts.com frequently search for maintenance and repair topics. To assist, the Blue Springs team turned a set of resources into a convenient online download. The PDF contains essential repair info ranging from a part replacement schedule to a tire number decoder.

In all, there are six resources, each about a page long. The whole kit can be viewed from a computer, tablet, or a phone. While the resource library is designed for Ford owners, the information is applicable to most passenger vehicles.

“There is a growing trend among car owners to keep their vehicles for as long as possible,” says Kyle Harris, director at Blue Springs Ford Parts. “This is partly due to loyalty and partly due to climbing vehicle sale prices. Regardless of the reason, people who drive a vehicle for a long time and seek value will need to buy their own parts and make repairs. That’s why we see a lot of website activity around these issues and why we created this resource.”

Here is a list of the topics covered:

The top 10 tools any DIY mechanic should own
Common OBD II trouble code cheat sheet
    Tire numbers explained
    Motor oil color flow chart
VIN decoder (helps with auto part orders)
Typical auto part lifespan and auto part failure chart

“Whether you are an established DIYer or driving your first vehicle, the information we’ve put together is for you,” says Harris.
