Lexus, McLaren among headliners at Barrett-Jackson fall auction

(September 18, 2020) SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Barrett-Jackson will offer a docket that includes an impressive selection of contemporary collectibles, all with no reserve, during the 2020 Fall Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Oct. 22 -24, 2020. Among the most significant crossing the block is a 2012 Lexus LFA, which is one of only 178 sold in the U.S. market, and a 2017 Blade Silver McLaren 570S  with only 2,831 actual miles.

“Our 2020 Fall Auction docket features some of the best examples of modern high-performance and luxury collectibles,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Many of these supercars represent the pinnacle of automotive craftsmanship and technology. We have gone to the extra mile to ensure a safe and comfortable environment in Scottsdale, and we look forward to getting back to live events and experiencing the excitement in the auction arena with competitive bidding on these no reserve supercars and luxury vehicles.”

A second McLaren crossing the block during the 2020 Fall Auction is a head-turning 2012 MP4 coupe  known as “The Joker.” Finished in Plum Explosion with a 3.8-liter V8 engine, this McLaren looks as stunning standing still as it does at its top speed of 218 miles per hour. Built in partnership with McLaren, a silver 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren also on the Fall Auction docket was inspired by the original 1955 model 300 SLR roadster and has only 13,156 actual miles.

2020 Chevrolet Corvette with 656 actual miles

“We can’t wait to reconnect with our collector car family next month in Scottsdale,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “While attendance at our Fall Auction in Scottsdale will be kept to a minimum to create the safest environment for our guests, we have every intention of delivering our distinctive Barrett-Jackson experience. That includes selling some of the most desirable modern collectibles from the world’s most revered luxury and performance manufacturers, along with unbelievable muscle cars and Resto-Mods.”

Modern collectibles from U.S. manufacturers will also be a part of the Fall Auction. A well-equipped Torch Red 2020 Chevrolet Corvette has only 656 actual miles and has the no-longer-available carbon-flash high-wing spoiler.

Finished in Shadow Black with Dark Energy interior, a 2018 Ford GT  has less than 853 actual miles and comes with the GT ordering kit, original transport seat and steering wheel covers, owner’s manuals, a Ford GT car cover and more. A 2018 Dodge Demon is #1323 of 3,300 built for the U.S. market and is one of only 30 finished in Maximum Steel.
