Lexus LFA Nurburgring highlights RK auction in Charlotte

(October 30, 2013) CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An extremely rare Lexus LFA Nurburgring, a NASCAR Edition Toyota Camry fitted with a 600 horsepower engine and a quartet of rare Corvettes lead a list of 17 investment-grade vehicles that will be offered at No Reserve at the  RK Motors Collector Car Auction (RKMCCA) in Charlotte this week.

Taking place Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 at the Charlotte Convention Center, the RK Motors Collector Car Auction will feature hundreds of rare muscle cars, racer and European collector cars.

The event will also feature a real-time, four-hour auction event that will be simulcast to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Nov. 2. This debut event will take place at the 7-star Emirates Palace Hotel, adjacent to the world-class Abu Dhabi Formula One track, on the evening preceding the 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The event will also provide a showcase for 17 special vehicles at no-reserve. Heading that list is a 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition, one of only 50 built and the only model offered with a white exterior and Alcantara interior. Powered by a 562 horsepower 4.8-liter V10 engine, the supercar has only 366 original miles on its odometer.

Also offered at No Reserve will be a 680 horsepower 2010 NASCAR Edition Toyota Camry. A collaboration between RK Motors and Toyota, this custom seamlessly blends on-track performance with street-friendly comfort. Working with detailed technical specifications and a series of illustrations, this entire car was fabricated from scratch, and showcases the strong technical alliance between Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and RK Motors Design/Build.

For lovers of “America’s True SportsCar,” RKMCCA will present four rare Corvettes at no-reserve.  This includes a 1967 Sting Ray roadster with GM-code 983 Goodwood Green Metallic exterior and an iconic 427 V8 engine; a 1996 Grand Sport convertible with an LT4, 6-speed engine ; a Bloomington Gold-winning1996 Grand Sport; and a 2010 Earnhardt Hall of Fame Edition.
